Working Method

Mixing
  • Melt the butter.
  • Mix melted butter, cake mix, water, egg yolk, oil and condensed milk together.
  • Whip up egg white and sugar on medium speed till soft peak. (meringue)
  • Fold in the meringue into cake batter.

Baking
  • Pour one layer of batter (250g for 10” x 10” tray) into tray and bake at 180°C for about 8-10 minutes until the top is brown.
  • Pour same amount of batter and spread evenly.
  • Bake in a salamander/an oven with top temperature of 230°C, bottom heat off .
  • You may underlay the tray with a high cake tin so the surface of the cake is nearer to the oven top.
  • Bake for about 8-10 minutes till darker brown.
  • Continue the previous step till all batter has been used up or desired height.
